Funeral for Prentis C. Brooks, Sr. 84, of Falkville was Saturday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Richard Craft and Donald Clem officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Brooks died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at the residence of his daughter. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Garrett, Alma Rapp and Lola Halbrooks.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Brooks of Falkville; one son, Prentis Cecil Brooks, Jr. of Falkville, two daughters, Vivian Chappell of Falkville and Marilyn Smith of Alexander City; one brother, Leldon Brooks; seven grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
