Funeral for Ray S. Kaylor, 73, of Decatur was Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Miracle Church of Jesus Christ, southwest of Lacon, with the Rev. James Watts officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Powell's Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Kaylor died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at his residence. He was born June 11, 1930, in North Carolina to Ivey Pinkey Kaylor and Lonnie Frances Williams Kaylor. He was retired from the United States Army, where he was in the Medical Detachment 81st Recon Battalion. He attended the Pentecostal church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Kaylor.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Kaylor of Decatur; one son, Vance Kaylor and his wife Kim of Louisville, Tenn.; two sisters, Rachel Walker of Hudson, N.C. and Sallie Norville of Morgantown, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Watts, Timothy Watts, Jacob Watts, Harold Watts, Jimmy Worley and Jason Worley.
