Silas Andrew Jones, 82, and his daughter, Lila Jones, 43, both of Falkville, died in a two-vehicle accident Friday on U.S. 31 in Decatur.
Jones' wife, Mildred Jones, 79, also of Falkville, was airlifted from Decatur General Hospital and taken to Huntsville Hospital.
A Huntsville Hospital spokesperson said she was in serious condition Monday in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit.
Police reported the driver, Silas Jones, and both passengers were wearing seatbelts.
Jones reportedly traveled west on Atkeson Street, leaving the former L.B. Wallace Center, and crossed the north lane of U.S. 31, when a car driven by Mary Frances Lawrimore, 61 of Hartselle, struck the driver's side of Jones car.
Jones reportedly failed to yield the right of way.
Lawrimore, Paul Barber, 38 of Falkville, and three children ages 15, 13, and 8-months-old, were taken to Decatur General for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and released.
