Funeral for Betty Jean Tapscott, 51, of Hartselle was Wednesday, March 3, at 3 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. T. Reynolds Hall, Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey and Rev. Terry Herston officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Ms. Tapscott died Monday, March 1, 2004, at her residence. She was born July 14, 1952, in Morgan County to Woodrow W. Tapscott and Maudie Burgess Tapscott. She was employed at 3M. She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow W. Tapscott; two brothers, Billy Joe Tapscott and James Ferrell Tapscott, her sister, Dean Montgomery; grandparents, Lillian Parker Burgess, James Henry Burgess, Rosa Ferguson Tapscott and Jack R. Tapscott.
She is survived by her mother, Maudie Burgess Tapscott of Hartselle; two brothers, Paul Wayne Tapscott and wife Cindy and Jerry A. Tapscott and wife Sharon, all of Hartselle; one sister, Glynn Rose Brennan of Hartselle; sister-in-law, Judy Dunaway Tapscott; brother-in-law, Harold Montgomery; nieces, Sheri Tapscott, Lisa Tapscott, Tina Speakman, Mary Tapscott, Mandy Tapscott, Kristi Tapscott, Tracy Tapscott; nephews, Hunter Tapscott, Allen Tapscott, Jackie Tapscott, Phillip Brennan, Anthony Montgomery, Jeff Montgomery and Larry Montgomery; great nieces, Destiny Montgomery and Telisha Montgomery; great nephews, Cody Tapscott and Brodie Tapscott.
Pallbearers were Britt Murphy, David Slate, Jeff Montgomery, Anthony Montgomery, Larry Montgomery, Allen Tapscott, Jackie Tapscott and Kay Hill.
