Funeral for Dora Alvis, 91, of Falkville will be Thursday (today), March 18 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robin Lambert officiating.
Burial will be in Roundtop Cemetery.
Mrs. Alvis died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 19, 1912, in Morgan County to John E. Wilhite and Cordie Ann Johnson Wilhite. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Alvis.
She is survived by one daughter, Verdie Yates of Falkville; two brothers, Bob Wilhite and Roscoe Wilhite, both of Falkville; granddaughter Teresa Yates Miller and husband George W. of Falkville; great granddaughter, Christy Miller Carr and husband Donald of Falkville; several nieces and nephews.
