Bulldogs win two slug fests

The Priceville Bulldogs baseball team climbed over the .500 mark with wins over Hazel Green and Russellville. Priceville is now 11-9 on the season.
Priceville 14, Hazel Green 11
Will Stevens won to improve to 1-1 on the mound. Stevens pitched five innings, striking out three and allowing five runs on six hits.
Dustin Hamilton went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, and a single. Hamilton drove in three runs and scored three times.
Daniel Price was also 3-for-4 with two doubles and a single while scoring one run. Brad Helton went 2-for-2 with a RBI double with two runs scored. Hunter Teague went 2-for-4 with two singles and two runs scored.
Priceville 12, Russellville 11
Matt Cryer won his first game of the year by throwing two innings of shutout relief.
Dale Taylor went 2-for-4 and scored twice. Taylor smashed a two-run homer and scored the game winning run on a single by Cryer.
Cryer went 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI on the bases loaded single in the bottom of the seventh inning with the score tied at 11.
Priceville hosts Brewer on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and then hosts Lexington on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
