A graveside service for Edward Dickson Pheny was Monday, March 29, at 3 p.m. at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville with Bobby Norris officiating.
Mr. Pheny died Thursday, March 25, 2004. He was born Sept. 5, 1918, to Amos Huger Pheny and Lula Dickson Pheny in Marshall County. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a resident of Birmingham for 50 years where he worked as a bookkeeper for E. E. Forbes Piano Co., Rhodes Carroll Furniture Co., Marks Fitzgerald Furniture Co. and later retired from Calder Furniture Company in the mid '90s During his retirement he worked part-time for Turner, Carnathan, and Livingston, P.C. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by one sister, Nell Pheny Cagle; two nephews; five nieces; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were Jud Pheny, Coleman Smith, Scott McClanahan, Randy Mardis, Beau Cagle and Tim Riggins.
