Funeral services for Elsie Wimberley, 67, of Hartselle were Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. David Bradford and Rev. Waymond Ashley officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wimberley died March 29, 2004, at her home. She was born Nov. 23, 1936, in Morgan County to Andrew F. Armstrong and Flora Stile Armstrong. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, John "J.P." Wimberley; step-son, Greg Wimberley of Decatur; two step-grandchildren, Megan and Chris Wimberley; one brother, Edward Armstrong of Hartselle; and three sisters, Ravenell Kahn of Mt. Olive, Evelyn Winger of Jackson Gap and Eunice Chapel of Falkville.
Pallbearers were nephews.
