Funeral for Mary Joyce Blankenship Lyle, 68, of Hartselle was Tuesday, April 13, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Brown and Geoff Halbrooks officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Lyle died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born June 1, 1935, in Morgan County to Parish Blankenship and Lola Lott Blankenship. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Hartford Lyle and two sons, Marshall Wayne Lyle and John Paul Lyle.
She is survived by two sons, Anthony Lyle and Gregory Lyle, both of Hartselle; three daughters, Diana George of Ryans Cross Road, Jean Lyle of Birmingham and Barbara Hills of Hartselle; two sisters, Margaret Mitchell of Somerville and Helen Sanders of Blountsville; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
