Vera Mae Denton

Funeral for Vera Mae Denton, 82, of Addison was Monday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church at Upshaw with the Rev. Glenn Wood officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Denton died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville. She was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Lawrence County to Rubin Morgan and Viola Bell Morgan. She was a retired school teacher, having taught school for 38 years at Upshaw and Addison Elementary. She was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church. Mrs. Denton was the widow of James Clem Denton.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
