Herman 'Perky' Pyrkosz

Funeral for Herman "Perky" Pyrkosz, 68, of Hartselle was Saturday, April 17, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Father Kevin McGrath officiating.
Mr. Pyrkosz died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at his residence. He was born Feb. 23, 1936, in Michigan to Theodore Leonard Pyrkosz and Marie Aloysia Pawelek Pyrkosz. He was retired from the Town of Livonia, Michigan Police Department where he worked as the Animal Control Officer. He and his wife, Carol, own and operate Perky's Kennel east of Hartselle.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Pyrkosz of Hartselle; two brothers, Robert Pyrkosz and wife Linda of Dothan and Anthony Pyrkosz and wife Judith of Livonia, Mich.; two sisters, Christine Smithbauer and husband Donald of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Therese McBride of Livonia, Mich.; 14 nieces and nephews; and eight great nieces and nephews.
