Funeral for Mattie Mooney, 77, of Eva was Tuesday, May 4, at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church with the Revs. Harvey Reynolds, James Wray and Steve Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Oden Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Mooney died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born March 1, 1927, in Lauderdale County to Dock Davis and Martha Newton Davis.
She is survived by her husband, William Albert Mooney of Eva; one son, Ray Mooney of Eva; her mother, Martha Davis of Eva; one brother Austeen Davis and wife Elizabeth; one sister, Ann White and husband Benny; two grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren.
