Elkmont tops the Blue Devils

FALKVILLE – The Devils from two different schools got together Friday evening for a football game that ended the spring practice.
The Falkville Blue Devils were host to the Elkmont Red Devils, and the Red Devils proved to be the better of the two.
Falkville's game plan was to throw all night, but turnovers keep that plan from producing any points.
The Red Devils had a game plan of their own which was to put J.R. Harbin in position to make plays.
Harbin ran for two touchdowns and threw for a third as he lead Elkmont to an easy spring scrimmage win.
"We need to be more aggressive," Falkville coach Jeff Miller said. "On the plus side, we didn't roll over in the second half after they got the big lead. Turnovers really killed our chances of scoring tonight."
The Blue Devils played with a heavy heart on Friday.
The team learned just prior to the game James Fillmore had died in auto accident.
James was the father of Dewayne Fillmore and step-father of James Beavers, both of whom are Falkville team members.
