Stevens, Jackson to wed July 24
The Rev. and Mrs. Clyde Stevens of Fayette announce the engagement of their daughter, Jesse Laura Stevens, to Joshua Steven Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Ernest Jackson of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2003 graduate of The University of Alabama. She is employed by Gwinnett County Public Schools in Lawrenceville, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Cooper of Reform and the late Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Johnson.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2001 graduate of Athens State University. He is employed by The NorthRiver Yacht Club. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jewell Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Mitchell Rogers Jr. The wedding will be held July 24 at 2 p.m. at Fayette First Baptist Church.
Holt, Homesley exchange vows
Sandy Renae Holt of Decatur and Nathan Eric Homesley of Hartselle were wed May 22, 2004 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Decatur with Pastor Buddy Champion officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Cindi Fuller of Decatur and Kent and Nancy Holt of Florence. The groom is the son of Redonda and Dennis Homesley of Hartselle.
The church and altar were decorated with ferns and greenery, white columns and silver candelabras.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a soft candlelight white gown of satin adorned by floral embroidery and pearls. The back of the gown was detailed with three rosettes and Australian crystals, and featured an apron back which revealed a chapel length satin inset with metallic embroidery. She wore a white veil adorned with pearls and sequins, handmade by her mother. Her bouquet featured white tulips.
Meredith Carnell of Hartselle was matron of honor.
The bride's attendants were Rachel Waddle of Ripley, Tenn., sister of the groom, Rebecca Hamm and Melissa Hinton of Florence, both sisters of the bride, and Lori Keaty of Madison.
Andrea Dreher of Ackworth, Ga., and Bailey Sorgea of Alton, Ill. were flower girls.
Jack Hodges and Peyton Hand, both of Madison, were ring bearers.
Jonathan Homesley, brother of the groom, was the best man.
Groomsmen were Justin Holt, brother of the bride, Dusty Briscoe, James Carnell and Shane Hays, all of Hartselle.
Music was provided by Melanie Cochran of Cullman.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
The bride's table featured a yellow cake with white butter cream icing in a basket weave design.
Teresa Letson was the wedding director.
Brooke Hodges of Madison attended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned in Orlando and Cocoa Beach, Fla. They will reside in Auburn.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held May 21 at Country Inn and Suites, catered by All Wright's Bakery.
