Points a plenty in Trinity

TRINITY – There was offense, then more offense and finally some more offense. Sixty-five points and 652-yards of total offense highlighted the Priceville at West Morgan spring football game. When the final buzzer sounded the Priceville Bulldogs won by the slimmest of margins, 33-32.
The Bulldogs jumped to an early lead by driving 65-yards in nine plays to open the game. Quarterback Zac Fairbanks passed five-yards to Dale Taylor for the score. Brad Helton added the extra point for a 7-0 lead.
After Priceville's David Horton recovered a Rebel fumble at the West Morgan 27-yard line. The Bulldogs scored in three plays. Hunter Teague took a pitchout and passed 28 yards to Jonathan Galbreath. The point after failed so the Bulldogs lead 13-0.
West Morgan would cut into the lead by driving 65-yards in six plays just before the end of the period. Matt Terry scored on a three-yard run followed by a Terry pass to O'Neal Johnson for the two-point conversion. At the end of the period Priceville lead 13-8.
In the second period the Bulldogs increased the lead on a 38-yard pass from Fairbanks to Helton. The score ended a five-play 53-yard drive. After a failed conversion attempt the Bulldogs led by 11, at 19-8.
West Morgan got on the board again in the third period when Zack Kirby broke loose for a 27-yard touchdown run. The score came two plays after Preston Crow recovered a Bulldog fumble. Terry ran for the conversion cutting the lead to three at 19-16.
Priceville answered back when Dale Taylor recovered a Rebel fumble and raced 38-yards to the end zone just before the period ended.
With the kick, Priceville led 27-16.
West Morgan opened the final period with a 10-play 65-yard drive ending when Johnson scored from 12-yards out.
After a successful two-point conversion, the Bulldogs' lead was down to
three at 27-24.
Priceville would answer on the following drive by moving 65-yards in five plays.
The score came on a Hunter Teague 12-yard run.
With the point-after the Bulldogs extended the lead to 33-24.
West Morgan would pull within one point on the games' next drive. Tommy Tucker scored on a 27-yard run to end a five-play 65-yard drive.
After the two-point conversion Priceville was clinging to a 33-32 lead.
After forcing a Bulldog punt, West Morgan drove 37-yards to the Priceville 40.
Time would expired before the Rebels could get off one last play.
