Hall seeks reelection to district five post

Don Hall is seeking reelection to the place five seat on the Hartselle City Council.
"I have made this choice because, under the current situation, that is where I can best serve my family and the people of Hartselle," Hall said.
Hall said he has numerous goals if he is reelected. Among those are:
"Other issues may emerge during the election process and over the next four years," Hall said. "To those unforeseen issues, the only promise I can make is to do what I feel is best and fair for the whole."
Hall is a 1972 graduate of Morgan County High School, now Hartselle High School. IN 1976, he graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in marketing and received a commission in the United States Army through ROTC. While on active duty, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky. And the Third Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas.
After completing his military service, he returned to Hartselle. He is employed with Peck-Glasgow Agency with 16 years of experience as an insurance professional.
He has coached youth baseball and basketball and once served as league vice president. He was a member and past president of Hartselle Jaycees.
Hall has served eight years on the Hartselle Planning Commission, four years as chairman of that group, and four years on the city council. Through hours of training, he achieved the "Certified Municipal Official" designation by the Alabama League of Municipalities.
Hall is married to the former Debbie Morrow and they have four adult children: Ben Hall, Justin, Brandon and Ryan Nix. The Halls live at 1803 Hayes SW and are members of First Baptist Church.
