Hartselle sisters enjoy once-in-a-lifetime trip

She may be back in Hartselle, far from the lights and cameras in New York City, but Anna Summerford is still reeling from her experience as "Cinderella for a Day," thanks to ABC's Good Morning America and her sister Laura.
Anna, Laura and their mother, Lisa, recently took a few minutes to share photos taken during their whirlwind trip.
They recalled how nice everyone at Good Morning America was, and still is. One producer has even kept in touch since the show. They talked about the limousine rides with teen actress and singer Hilary Duff, meeting her sister and mother, and the swarm of media who follow the actress's every move.
Wearing T-shirts reading "Wicked Step Sister" and "Cinderella in Training," Anna and Laura talked about the media attention they received in New York and since returning home.
"Once, when getting out of the limo, Hilary told us to open the door and run," Anna recalled. "I couldn't do what she does every day."
"People stopped us on the street and congratulated Anna," Laura explained. "It was so weird that they recognized us."
Newspapers, magazines and local television shows have asked Anna to relay her Cinderella story time and again.
Laura stumbled upon Internet chat about Anna's contest win. One person said Laura was a shoe-in for "sister of the year" for nominating Anna.
"It's so weird to have people talk about us who don't even know us," Laura said.
Lisa said even though she and the girls are still excited from the experience, things are starting to return to normal at the Summerford home.
