Traffic may experience a slow down on some area roads as resurfacing projects get under way throughout the city.
All or part of 13 streets, some 3.85 miles, will be resurfaced. The city will spend $157,850 on the projects.
Streets to be repaved include: Metco Road, South Railroad Street, Industrial Drive, Mountain View Road, Mountain View Circle, Mountain View Drive, Woodmont Street, Woodmont Drive, Woodmont Circle, Woodberry Street, Linwood Street, Sherwood Drive and Huntington Road.
Last month, the city also agreed to team up with the county to resurface Vaughn Bridge Road. That project will cost $43,000.
The money for the projects is coming from the city's gasoline tax funds and the street repairs and maintenance budget.
