Opal Alline Spain

A graveside service for Opal Alline Spain, 74, of Athens, was Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Spain died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at Athens Convalescent Center. She was born Feb. 24, 1930. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James Gordon Spain.
She is survived by three sons, Waymon Spain of Hartselle, Kenny Spain of Monroe, Mich., and Ricky Spain of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one daughter, Beverly Craig of Athens; grandchildren, Adra Lawrence of Hartselle, Joseph Thrasher of Birmingham, Kristina Thrasher of Jackson, Miss. and Elizabeth Spain of Florence.
