Funeral for Onnie Ozell Yeager Dewberry, 77, of Decatur was Sunday, Aug. 29, at 3 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Walt Schmidt and the Rev. Tim Matthews officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Dewberry died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at her residence. She was born on July 14, 1927, in Cullman County, Alabama to Roy Preston Yeager and Linda Smith Yeager. Mrs. Dewberry was married to her husband John on Dec. 13, 1947. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for more than 50 years and served there as a Sunday school teacher for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her sister Dera "Dee" Abbott of Birmingham and her brothers, Curtis Yeager of Cullman and Harold Yeager of Baileyton.
