Funeral for James Thomas "Buster" Creel, 55, of Hartselle was Monday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Lindsey Herndon and Morris Norton officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Creel died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at his residence. He was born Dec. 11, 1948, in Georgia to James Turner Creel and Evelyn Grace Parr Creel. He was a member of Hartselle Christian Church, formerly Central Christian Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Creel.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Creel of Hartselle; one son, Michael Creel and wife Catherine of Decatur; two daughters, Michelle Cervantes and husband Jesse of Hartselle and Melanie Moore and husband Brian of Decatur; three sisters, Janice Jones of Charlestown, W. Va., Jo Ann Johnson of Villa Rica, Ga. and Jackie McHan of Hartselle; three granddaughters; and two grandsons
Pallbearers were Tom McCutcheon, Jeff McCutcheon, Ralph Warnick, J.W. Bryson, Michael Johnson, Thomas McHan, Sam Beadle and Dale McCurry.
Honorary pallbearers were Franklin Morris, Thurman Mayfield, Paul Johnson, Gerald Yeager, Bobby Dean and Billy Gene Clemons.
