Funeral for Katie Pauline Sanford Prater, 85, of Danville was Saturday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Francis Proctor officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Prater died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at National Healthcare Moulton. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Prater and a daughter, Mary Virginia Prater.
She is survived by one son, Charlie Prater of Danville; three daughters, Dorothy Powell of Falkville, and Ruby Powell of Cullman and Jo Ann Steel of Danville; one brother, Earnest Sanford of Decatur; one sister, Marie Steele of Danville; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
