Depot Days is over and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank those that participated this year. This festival could not take place without the work of sponsors, hundreds of volunteers and various organizations that participate.
A huge thanks to the Depot Days Festival Committee, a group of volunteers that give up more than six months of their time and expertise to plan this festival for our community. I appreciate you! Your ideas, talents and community pride are very evident in the work that you do with this festival.
The city employees worked very hard to trim, cut and clean all around Hartselle in preparation for this year's festival. All of our festival signage is made possible by the city's sign department and we are forever grateful for their hard work. We appreciate the many hours of hard work that were put into yet another Depot Days Festival.
The Hartselle Ministerial Association's support of the concert and the volunteers from the participating churches was great.
The Hartselle Historical Society provided a wonderful program and great displays on the history of churches in Hartselle as well as some great musical entertainment.
Thank you Microwave Dave and the Nukes for your gift of Music in the Park. The concert was wonderful!
Thanks to all of our sponsors! Without sponsorship investments we wouldn't be able to advertise the festival, provide trophies and ribbons to winners, or enjoy for the first time sitting under the Abercrombie Chevrolet tent at a table or in a chair to listen to the performers on the main stage, all the while staying dry from the drizzle.
Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank the merchants for decorating your stores and the attendees of the festival activities. Whether it was the concert, Down Memory Lane, Music in the Park or those of you who weathered the misty drizzle this year and had a great time - thank you!
I would like to extend an invitation to everyone to attend a special presentation at the depot on Oct. 28.
