Funeral for Anna Lee Johnson, 83, of Somerville was Friday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Steadman officiating.
Burial was in Pines Baptist Church's Russell Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born April 19, 1921 in Carbon Hill to Charles Lee Vice and Flossie Anna Perkins Vice. She was a member of Pines Baptist Church. She was a loving, caring wife and mother. She was a respected and loyal friend to many. She had a talent for crafts and could see beauty in the smallest things. She loved flowers and her home and was always happy to share both with others. She had an unconditional love for her family and was always there whenever anyone needed her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lucille Baker and Robbie Marchand; two brothers, Carl Vice and Ralph Vice.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Alva A. Johnson of Somerville; two sons, Larry Johnson and wife Janet of Decatur, and Kenneth Johnson and wife Joan of Huntsville; four daughters, Carol Montgomery and husband Hal, and Frances Childers and husband Armon, all of Priceville, Martha Stewart and husband Milt, and Kathy Harbin and husband Al, all of Madison; two brothers, Cecil Vice of Hartselle and Charles Wilson Vice of Ryland; four sisters, Louise Bowen of Somerville, Jean Harrison of Danville, Charlene Arrington and Nell Black, both of Hartselle; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tracy Johnson, Brian Montgomery, Randy Knighten, Jason Harbin, Arvel Childers and Dustin Dadd.
Honorary pallbearers were Austin Johnson and Todd Harbin.
