Six Tiger wrestlers surpass 100 wins

Baseball has its 500-home run club for hitters and a 300-win club for pitchers. The Hartselle High wrestling program has its own exclusive plateau for Tiger grapplers to reach--the 100-win club.
Prior to the 2004-05 season, only five wrestlers had ever won 100 matches for the Tigers. However, this season the club grew to 11 members as six more Tigers cracked the century mark in wins.
Seniors Dennis Smith, Luke Mize, Corey Farmer, Adam Faulk, Hunter Brasher and Kurt Hamilton all recorded win number 100 this season. Joining the club is a source of pride for the entire group.
When six members join the club in one season, it brings up the question of coaching versus talent. Is this an exceptionally talented group or a good one developed with superior coaching?

The accomplishments of the six have drawn praise from former Hartselle High School wrestlers.
All six said surpassing the 100-win mark is not the ultimate destination, just a stop along the way.
The six are concentrating so singularly on the state championships later this month, they don't want to view themselves as something special.
Faulk cited the rest of the team, as well as the members of the 100-win club, when discussing the Tigers chances of grabbing a state title.
