Library group grateful for support
Editor:
"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm."
– Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Friends of the Priceville Library never miss an opportunity to say thank you, and to acknowledge those who work hard spreading kindness for the benefit of our community. With the support of our community businesses, schools and neighbors, our literary goals and achievements are state of the art, thereby reaching readers of all ages throughout Morgan County.
Reading newspapers, subscribing to a magazine or two, listening to radio programs, watching television, working in the Internet, hearing stories from friends, attending the theater; these activities all provide interesting experiences and topics for conversation. All these wondrous experiences can happen again through your library's resources.
With this year's proceeds (well over $2,500), the Priceville Library was able to purchase shelving for adult westerns and videos, young adult fiction, children's videos, and two new book bins for musical CDs. Future plans include support of summer reading programs, materials such as new books, magazines, additional shelving and other necessary items as the needs arise.
Renewing your membership with the Friends of the Library volunteers demonstrates your support for our public library system. Your membership fees, along with other funds raised, provide more than a third of the funds supplementing the library's public appropriations. Please renew your memberships annually – the difference you make is profound.
We want to thank all the parties involved for supporting the silent auction with their donations, services and talents on behalf of the Friends of the Priceville Public Library.
