Funeral for Sarah Jane Sparks Thompson, 79, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Ashley officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Thompson died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Jake Thompson.
She is survived by two sons, Cecil Lynn Thompson and wife Zana of Falkville and Jerry Jerome Thompson and wife Susan of Morristown, Tenn.; one sister, Alice Faye Stasiak of Dowagiac, Mich.; three grandchildren, Melanie Adams and Jeff Thompson, both of Falkville and Josh Thompson of Salt Lake City, Utah; seven great-grandchildren; and 2 foster grandchildren. Pallbearers were nephews Donald Sparks, Douglas Sparks, Mike Sparks, Bill Hampton, Jimmy R. Johnson and Ronnie Gann.
