Funeral for Erskine Leon Grigsby, 55, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Smallwood officiating.
Burial was in Bell Springs Cemetery.
A military graveside service was held in Bell Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Grigsby died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at his residence. He was born Jan. 24, 1950, in Morgan County to Gladys Grigsby and Doris Evelyn Maddox Grigsby. He was a Protestant. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the 196 Light Infantry Brigade.
He is survived by his wife, Gunda Grigsby of Hartselle; one son, James Weeks of Decatur; four stepsons, Jimmy Smith of Decatur, Frankie Smith, Tom Smith and Mike Smith, all of Hartselle; one daughter, Michelle Lynn Flowers of Roanoke, Va.; two brothers, Jerry Cleek and Phillip Grigsby, both of Hartselle; two sisters, Patricia Martin and Cathy Roden, both of Hartselle; and two grandchildren.
