Funeral for Leonard B. Walker, 84, of Falkville was Saturday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Terry Nappier, David Hooks and Jim Henderson officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Walker died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 26, 1920, in Lawrence County to James Franklin Walker and Mittie Crittenden Walker. He was a member of Piney Grove Christian Church and a member of the Falkville Lions Club and Gideons International. He served with the 20th Troop Carriers Squadron in the Army Air Corp during World War II. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wilhite Walker; a brother, James U. Walker; and a sister, Ruth W. Tankersley.
He is survived by three sons, James L. Walker of Decatur and Ronald L. Walker and Donald G. Walker, both of Falkville; one brother, O. Paul Walker of Monroeville; and one sister, Irene Aldridge of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were church members.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Falkville Lions Club and Gideons International.
