Bulldogs score 40 runs, sweep Fairview

The Priceville Bulldogs got their 2005 baseball season off to a quick start with a doubleheader sweep of the Fairview Aggies. Priceville scored 40 runs, gave up only one hit and recorded 22 strikeouts in the two games.
Priceville 29,
Fairview 0
Bulldog pitchers Dustin Hamilton and Lance Hughes combined on a no-hitter. Hamilton threw four dominant innings recording 10 strikeouts and walking two. Hughes worked the fifth inning and struck out two batters.
At the plate, Justin Crow went three-for-three with three runs and four RBIs, while Hunter Teague was three-for-five with two doubles and two runs scored. Cody Allen went two-for-three with three runs scored, while Matt Croft was two-for-two with a double and three runs.
Priceville 11,
Fairview 0
Crow picked up the win with three innings of no-hit ball, while striking out seven and walking three. Will Stevens relieved Crow and allowed one hit over two innings, while striking out three and walking one.
Crow went two-for-two at the plate with a solo home run, while Hamilton had a two-run homer. Allen was two-for-four with two runs scored, while Rand Hutchison scored three runs and had two hits. Hunter Teague had a double and scored twice.
Elkmont 13,
Priceville 8
Priceville slipped to 2-1 on the season, as they fell to the Elkmont Red Devils.
Dustin Chambers threw two innings, before giving way to Crow who also threw two innings, followed by Stevens who worked one inning.
Lance Hughes then followed with two innings on the hill and took the loss for Priceville.
Teague was two-for-four with a run scored and one RBI, while Hutchison had one hit and scored once. Hamilton was two-for-five with a double, one RBI and one run scored.
Hughes had a RBI double and later scored.
