Funeral for Hal LaVaughn Wiley, 82, of Russellville, was Saturday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Bill Dobbs and Dr. Wayne Ray officiating.
Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Mr. Wiley died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at Russellville Hospital. A native of Morgan County, he moved to Franklin County in 1957. He attended First Baptist and Grace Baptist Church. He served as Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a member of the Rotary Club, Telephone Pioneers of America and Booster Club of Russell. He was retired from Bell South Telephone Company with 38 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emily Cook Wiley, one sister, Zana Ann Wiley; and one brother, Nelson Wiley.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Thomas Wiley of Russellville; one son, Hal Scott Wiley and wife Susan of Huntsville; one daughter, Patti Jo Kimbrough and husband Jerry Glen of Russellville; grandchildren, Hal Thomas Wiley, John Mason Wiley, Sarah Marie Wiley, Tuan Nvugen, John David Kimbrough and Jennifer Ruth Kimbrough.
Pallbearers were Homer Grissom, Curtis Grissom, Hal Kirby, Charles Forman, Floyd Tirey and Douglas Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. A. E. Terry, Dr. Wayne Hyatt, Howard Grant, Lanny Norris, Gene Ellison and Rocky Stone.
