Funeral for Laura Whitworth, 92, of Hartselle was Monday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ron Bishop and Ernest Auston officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitworth died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Oct. 3, 1912, in Lawrence County to Ed Spain and Mary Francis Hayes Spain. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she had 65 years of church service. She was preceded in death by her husband Moses D. Whitworth.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Whitworth of Hartselle; a daughter, Shirley Faye Montgomery; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and friends.
