James Edward 'Ed' Livingston

Funeral for James Edward "Ed" Livingston, 81, of Danville was Wednesday, April 13, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery.
Mr. Livingston died Monday, April 11, 2005, at his residence. He was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Morgan County to James Richard Livingston and Bessie Ratcliff Livingston. He was a member of Danville Baptist Church since 1959. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. He retired as maintenance supervisor after 32 years of service at Wolverine Tube in Decatur. He was an avid farmer and sports enthusiast, and always had time to talk and make new friends. He will be missed by his family; his friends; and the Danville area.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Shaneyfelt Livingston of Danville; two sons, Hal Livingston and wife Regina of Killen and Ron Livingston, of Danville; three daughters, Sharon Grammer and husband Jim of Hartselle, Vicki Tidwell of Decatur and Janet Fields and husband Ricky of Danville; one brother, Carmen Livingston of Danville; four sisters, Shelby Melson of Danville, Shirley Johnson and Bobbie Bolan, both of Moulton and Lena Bullard of Hartselle; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hugh Fitzgerald, Joe Fitzgerald, Elvis Wayand, James Kyle Lindsey, Charles Randolph and Jerry Randolph.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the maintenance crew at Wolverine Tube under Ed Livingston's supervision.
