A graveside service for Nellie Mae Shelton, 77, of Decatur was Friday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ron Reinhardt officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Shelton died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Sept. 24, 1927 in Morgan County to Ollie Paul Harris and Pearl Hanner Harris. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Doug Sherrod; two brothers, Cecil Harris, J. C. Harris; and two sisters, Louise Davis and Pauline McGregory.
She is survived by two daughters, Ginger Sherrod and husband Larry of Decatur and Susan Hill and husband Jamey of Hartselle; one sister, Grace Ricks of Decatur; and one granddaughter, Julie Yocom and husband Scott of Homewood.
