Funeral for Barbara Jean Seegmiller, 76, of Cullman was Wednesday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church with Bro. Chuck Canterbury, Jr. officiating and Moss-Service Funeral Home in Cullman directing.
Burial was in Cullman City Cemetery.
Mrs. Seegmiller died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Onarga, Ill. to Glen and Verda Clester. She was retired from BellSouth, where she was the first woman Frame Operator. Mrs. Seegmiller was active in St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She loved to sew, counted cross-stitch, crochet and spending time on her computer keeping in contact with friends and family. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Seegmiller of Cullman; two daughters, Marsha (Kym) Pittman of McIntosh and Bonita (Bobby) Royal of Decatur; two grandsons, Marty (Janet) Pittman of Millry and Chad (Shellie) Pittman of Saraland; two granddaughters, Gina Chivers of Alabaster and Amanda Lovelady of Decatur; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Sarah and Abbi; four sisters, June Seegmiller of Chatsworth, Ill.; Amy Irwin of Paxton, Ill.; Janet Kroll of Chatsworth, Ill.; Carol (Ensil) McDonald of Buncombe, Ill.; one brother, Cecil Clester of Chatsworth, Ill.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
