Funeral for Mary Holland Dobbs, 78, of Hartselle was Wednesday, June 8, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry McElroy officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Dobbs died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Falkville Healthcare Center. She was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Calhoun County to Henry F. Holland and Sue Myrtle Payne Holland. She was retired after 25 years of service with the U.S. Army at Redstone Arsenal.
She is survived by three sons, David Thomas Dobbs and Jeffrey Allen Dobbs, both of Hartselle and Stephen Elliott Dobbs of Spring Hill, Tenn.; one daughter, Dana Elizabeth Holmes of Hartselle; eight grandchildren, Matthew Holmes, Ashley Holmes, Mitchell Dobbs, Michael Dobbs, Jeffrey Dobbs, Daniel Dobbs, Mattie Dobbs and Preston Dobbs; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Holmes and Kylee Holmes; and one sister, Jill H. Dodson of Shelby, N.C.
Pallbearers were Matthew Holmes, Mitchell Dobbs, Michael Dobbs, Daniel Dobbs, Jeffrey Dobbs and Glynn Holmes.
