Funeral for Nellene Morris Fitzgerald, 75, of Danville was Friday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William T. Pruitt III, the Revs. Dan Compton and Wayne Penn officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Fitzgerald died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at her residence. She was born Aug. 30, 1929, in Morgan County to Richard H. Morris and Grace A. Gray Morris. She was a production worker at Prestolite for 33 years. She was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Fitzgerald enjoyed gospel music and loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert M. Fitzgerald; and a son-in-law, Chip Matthews.
She is survived by one son, Bruce Fitzgerald and wife Tammy of Danville; two daughters, Jennifer Breedlove and husband Dwight of Neel and Carolyn Matthews of Danville; one sister, Mary Morris Willingham of Cullman; eight grandchildren, Lance Breedlove, Lori Bailey, Brent Breedlove, Carrie Beth Tidwell, Katie Matthews, Alaina Fitzgerald, Grant Fitzgerald and Drew Fitzgerald; and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Collin Breedlove.
Pallbearers were Joe Fitzgerald, Robert Morris, Charles Holladay, Joel Holladay, J. W. Doss and Paul Waddell.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or to Friendship Baptist Church.
