Funeral for James Edgar Harris, 63, of Lacey's Spring was Monday, Aug. 8, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Peebles officiating.
Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mr. Harris died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Morgan County to James Harold Harris and Bessie Lee Dean Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bobby Eugene Harris.
He is survived by his wife Frances Harris of Lacey's Spring; his children, Tammy Slaten, Stacey Flanagan, Shannon Harris, Pam Mullins, Phillip Stapler and Lisa Stanfield; two sisters, Martha Shelton and Carolyn Peebles; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Russell Slaten, Chris Slaten, Nick Billings, Travis Stanfield, Cody Barr and Josh Wallace.
