Funeral for Hattie Ellen Waddell, 96, of Hartselle was Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Blackmon officiating.
Burial was in Moss Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Waddell died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Oct. 18, 1908, in Morgan County to James Emory Parker and Julia Amanda Andrews Parker. She was a homemaker and the oldest living member of Moss Chapel United Methodist Church. She was married for 67 years to Edward T. "Preacher" Waddell until his death in 1992, and was preceded in death by a son, Thaddis Emory Waddell.
She is survived by a son, Paul T. Waddell of Falkville; a daughter, Mildred Clemons of Hartselle; a brother, Carl E. Parker of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
