Funeral for Mavene Wilson Thomas, 78, of Somerville was Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Hancock officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born July 11, 1927, in Morgan County to William Perry Wilson and Kittie Lou Jenkins Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Janice D. New and Debbie Creel; and a brother, Wheeler R. Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Willie T. Thomas of Somerville; one daughter, Patricia T. Hill of Hartselle; three brothers, Harold D. Wilson and wife, Vivian, of Decatur, William F. Wilson and wife Linda and James A. Wilson and wife Berta Ann, all of Hartselle; three sisters, Ilene Smith, Faye Houser and Shirene Crowe and husband Bobby, all of Somerville; and five grandchildren, Deanne Hill Sandlin, Eddie Hill, Lisa New Looney, Kim Fowler and Marcia Dean.
Pallbearers were Christopher Wilson, Randy Fox, Nick Sandlin, Tyler Hill, Jonathan Smith and Christopher Walls.
