Funeral for Troy E. McCutchen, 81, of Decatur was Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at Union Church of Christ in Somerville with Tom Larkin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery.
Mr. McCutchen died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Morgan County to John Cleveland McCutchen and Crucie Johnston McCutchen. He retired as a computer programmer with NASA. He was a member of Union Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Waugh McCutchen.
He is survived by two sons, John M. McCutchen and wife Brenda of Pascagoula, Miss. and Jerry D. McCutchen and wife Debbie of Mobile; a daughter, Sandra Nadine Hill and husband Jimmy of Gainsville, Ga.; a brother, Johnston McCutchen and wife Dorris of Somerville; a sister, Alma Henderson and husband Larry of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Shawn Hill, Beth Eaton, Jerr McCutchen, Meredith McCutchen, John T. McCutchen and Jeff McCutchen; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews.
