Funeral for Nina Maples, 61, of Eva was Friday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. at Son Rise Baptist Church with the Revs. David Clemons, Brian Bridges and James Wray officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in New Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Maples died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005. She was born Jan. 26, 1944, in Walker County. She was self-employed as an elderly caregiver. She was a member of Son Rise Baptist Church. Mrs. Maples was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a wonderful Christian woman. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and she will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Wilson Ryan Sr. and one daughter, Tina Maples.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Maples of Eva; one son, Tim Maples and wife Angie of Hartselle; one daughter, Jeannie "Bobbie" Mahathy and husband Lee of Somerville; her mother, Joyce Letson of Cullman; two brothers, Jimmy Ryan of Eva and W.W. Ryan Jr. of Huntsville; three sisters, Brenda Bailey of Hanceville, Connie Smith of Arab and Mona Bonham of Texas; six grandchildren, Natashia, Zach, Justin, Jessica, Jake and Rachel; and one great-grandson, Jeremy.
Pallbearers were Glen Waddell, Oscar Lawrence, Tommy Blankenship, Clayton Ledlow, Howard Turney and Slim Voyles.
Honorary pallbearers were Roy McCurry, Wayne Maples and Richard Bailey.
