Funeral for Bessie Marie Blankenship 86, of Hartselle was Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Francis Proctor officiating.
Burial was in Forrest Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Blankenship died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Sept. 17, 1919, in Michigan to Joseph Thibault and Bessie Gerrow Thibault. She was a beloved wife. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Roger Brace.
She is survived by her husband, J. Freeman Blankenship of Hartselle; two daughters, Nanett Louise Bloom of Michigan and Belinda Ricks of Alabama; a sister, Mazie Woods of Michigan; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alton Boger, Craig Brace, Dale Hall, Billy Hogan, Michael Wiggins and Frank Weaver.
