Funeral for Harriet Ann Holmes Moore, 86, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Michael Mason officiating.
Burial was in Moss Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 31, 1919, in Etowah County to Henry Wright Holmes and Vinnie Laura Smith Holmes. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Moore Sr.; a daughter, Patsy A. Moore; four brothers, Homer Holmes, Albert Holmes, Wesley Holmes and Jessie Holmes; and two sisters, Lessie Holmes and Mary Breeding.
She is survived by six sons, James W. Moore Jr., Roger B. Moore and Joe G. Moore, all of Hartselle, Gary W. Moore of Clio, Robert S. Moore of Decatur and Kenneth P. Moore of Athens; five daughters, Pat Steen of Satsuma, Tex., Sheila K. Thurlow of Houston, Tex., Donnis F. Bell of Huntsville, Sherry S. Brewer of Falkville and Teresa F. Long of Priceville; three sisters, Anne Holmes Moeller of Huntsville, Marie Holmes Clark of Falkville and Betty Holmes Clemons of Hartselle; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
