Funeral for Jack R. Payne, 64, of Middleton, Tenn., was Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m at Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton with Jack Davis, John Hunter and Shane Scott officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar directing.
Burial was in Middleton City Cemetery.
Mr. Payne died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.
He was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Walker County to the late Sylvester Allen Payne and Lois Gibson Payne. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Chambers Payne of Middleton; a son, Roger A. Payne of Chicago; a grandson, Roger A. Payne Jr. of Knoxville; two sisters, Lena Morgan of Addison and Jeanette Haney of Arley; a step-sister, Francilla Hopper of Jasper; and a brother, Ed Payne of Hartselle.
Memorial may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton, Tenn.
