Funeral for Ruby Landers Craft, 85, of Hartselle was Monday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Milan Dekich officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Craft died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at her residence. She was born Jan. 19, 1920, in Morgan County to Andrew Wayne Landers and Vinnie Azalee Garrison Landers. Lovingly known as "Moo Moo" by her family and friends. Mrs. Craft was a lifelong resident of Hartselle, where she owned and operated Ruby's Beauty Shop for 53 years. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting, but most of all she loved her family. She displayed great strength and set a strong foundation for each member. She will be remembered for her devotion to them, her endless wit and sense of humor. She was an honorable and loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Hillard Crosby, Mack Landers and Leldon Landers and one sister, Birdie Mae White.
She is survived by two sons, Andy and Robin Vest of Hartselle and Jeff and Teresa Craft of Moulton; two daughters, Charlene and Leo Orr of Hartselle and Judy and Bill Walden of Nashville; one stepson, Larry Craft; one sister, Ruth Anders of Hartselle; 11 grandchildren, Angie Anders, Cheryl Metz, Deborah Johnson, Bucky Walden, Andy Vest, Bruce Vest, Lori Cline, Justin Ty Craft, Jephri Brooke Craft, Cody Craft and Lily Craft; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving, caring family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Justin Craft, Andy Vest, Bruce Vest, Bucky Walden, Bryan Metz, Todd Cline, Sam Anders, Rodney Johnson and Cody Craft.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack Anders, Donnie Barnes, David Gillispie, Ray Henson, Murray Landers and Loyd Wallace.
