Funeral for Dorothy A. Whittle, 57, of Oswego, Ill. will be Friday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Church in Cullman County.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Whittle died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore. She was born June 18, 1948, in Alabama to Melvin and Bess Whittle. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Joseph, Gerald, Edward and Clyde.
She is survived by two sisters, Vernell Law and husband Nelson and Thelma Law and husband Walter, all of Oswego; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
