Funeral for Oda Ethel Staples, 89, of Lebanon, Tenn., was Monday, Dec. 19, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Ms. Staples died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, in Lebanon, Tenn. She retired from the State of Alabama after serving as an educator for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. and Lattie Dutton Staples, a brother, Otas Staples and a sister, Florine Maddox.
She is survived by nieces, Leann Morrison and husband Dick of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; Peggy Lewis of California, Betty, Buddy and Larry Payne; two nephews, Jessie Minor and wife Liz of Nashville, Tenn. and Charles Maddox of Nashville, Tenn.; several great-nieces and a great-great nephew.
