Funeral for Ethel Mae Turner, 85, of Somerville was Saturday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. at Somerville Church of God with the Rev. P.J. Jenkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Somerville Church of God Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at her daughter's residence. She was born June 12, 1920, in Blount County to General Dewey Davis and Zonie Brown Davis.
She was saved at New Center Baptist Church and was a member of one of the charter families of Somerville Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lannie Odell Turner; a sister, Gertrude Davis and a grandson, Jonathan Hopkins.
She is survived by five daughters, Arthenia Turner of Somerville; Josephine Turner and Ludell Hopkins, both of Gainesville, Fla., Linda Sue Sharp of Tuscumbia and Anetia Koch of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Paul Blagburn of Trinity and Kenneth Blagburn of Vinemont; two brothers, J. C. Davis of Decatur and Dallon Davis of West Memphis, Ark.; two sisters, Annie Ruth Taylor of Somerville and Doris Graves of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, James Dale Hopkins, Cassandra Bell, April Hinson, Ricky G. Wilson, Sonja Wilson, Jonathan Blagburn, Andrew Blagburn, Elizabeth Blagburn, Katie Blagburn, Andrew Jones, Tyler Jones and Sarah Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica McWilliams and Lanie Bell.
Pallbearers were Roger Stephenson, Bobby Taylor, Charles Taylor, David Turner, Loren Graves, Dusty Halbrooks, Wayne Halbrooks, Jimmy Turner, and Robert Coffmen.
