Funeral for Jerry Parker, 48, of Athens was Sunday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Melvin Mears officiating.
Burial was in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Parker died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1957, in Michigan to H. M. Parker and Nellie Ray Moore Parker.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Cindy Bell, a son, Michael Simmons of Decatur; a daughter, Christina Parker Kyle of Athens; a brother, Randy Parker of Moulton; three sisters, Joyce Mashak of Hartselle and Judy Montgomery of Geraldine Parker, both of Paw Paw, Mich.; and three grandchildren, Jasmin Simmons, Adam Kyle and Barbara Kyle.
Pallbearers were Jay Russell, Michael Mashak, Seth Mashak, Tony Moss, Randy Kyle Jr. and Ed Sterner.
